Meet Our Team, our friends and one of our beneficiaries. This is during handing over of a sewing machine to Zaina (beneficiary) .
Catherine is guiding LBSI through its current capacity building efforts and toward a strong and sustainable future for this growing organization. She oversees the day-to-day work of LBSI, guides the strategic efforts of the organization, and liaises with the Board of Directors. Catherine also helps connect LBSI to supporters, collaborators, and the broader fields of women’s empowerment and international development.
Teresiah Musya, Office Admnistrator/ Accounts clerk
She serves as the office administrator/ accounts clerk handling accounts, HR and other administrative matters, as well as relations with consultants, vendors and service providers.
Meriba Mwende, M&E Officer
Mwende is the monitoring and evaluation officer. She Provides expertise in M&E planning and methodology through; Participating in and providing support to project design activities including development of project theories of change and strategic frameworks, Developing M&E plans, Helping determine performance and impact indicators and target, Providing support to proposal development for M&E components. She also plays an essential role in tracking and updating M&E data as well as ensuring the data is of the best quality possible throughout the project life. She is also responsible for making project reports.
Esther Munji, The program sustainability & Publicity officer
Esther is the program sustainability/Publicity officer. This includes resource mobilization through grants proposal writing, organizing for fundraising events and sourcing for individual and group donors. She also markets the LBSI products, which are made by the women such as bags, bead work, jewels etc.
Wanjiru is the Project officer, dealing with trainings. She facilitates in different trainings scheduled for different groups such as; the 5 steps training module (Entrepreneurship skills, Financial literacy, leadership skills, life skills and vocational training , )
Sakina-Assistant project officer
Sakina is an Assistant Project officer, dealing with counter GBV and human trafficking issues She is also a link person in HIV/aids and health related issues and counseling and, follow up of defaulters and doing referrals to comprehensive Care Centers(CCC). She also deals with children, especially rescuing them and making follow ups on their well being.
