LBSI took up the initiative of TiB in March this year, shared to us by the World Council of Churches.
Life Bloom came up with a workplan to guide the organization's activities in new initiative.
One of the achieved activity is coming up with a slogan to appear on the T-shirts when screened titled#ZERO GENDER VIOLENCE MY RESPONSIBILITY @TiB.
Life Bloom staffs have got black tshirts screened with the slogan and have made it a requirement to be in black on Thursdays in the office.
LBSI works closely with a counter - GBV Networking group in Naivasha and they couldn't be left out in the work plan. Initially, the network held their meetings on the first Wednesday of the month. LBSI met with the executives during the month of March and shared with them the idea of TiB and proposed the meetings to be being held on first Thursdays of the month. The idea was warmly embraced by the executives. Members too agreed to be wearing black during the meetings. The network also commemorated International Women's Day 2016 by having a community outreach on creating awareness and sensitization in one of the areas within Rift Valley part of Kenya with high rates of GBV and introduced the concept to the crowd. IEC materials with TiB information were distributed.
LBSI screens the network member's black t-shirts with the TiB slogan at a low price.
